CSI5* Bordeaux (FRA): Bosty: “This was my day!”

22nd international victory and already the 2nd of this season for Castle Forbes Vivaldo vh Coste, Roger-Yves Bost’s fatal weapon in speed classes. On Saturday afternoon, it was a table C in which the faults are converted into additional seconds, but in order to win this Prix FRANCE BLEU, one had to avoid making mistakes and go very fast: “Vivaldo was easy, he’s in very good shape. Yesterday, he made 4 faults in the jump-off of the big class, but that was my fault. He loves Bordeaux and last year, he won here. It’s a really formidable horse, I am very lucky.” The Prix FRANCE BLEU, however, was not the easiest competition to win, as there were other specialists in this genre of speed class. Bosty was in top shape, though: “Yes, you have to be very fast and thus take many risks while keeping control at the same time. Vivaldo is better in big spaces but is also capable of winning indoor, which he proved today. Robert Vos, who placed second, was victorious yesterday and I thought that I was going to have troubles of beating to him, but I made it, it simply was my day!” It certainly is something to lift his spirits for tonight, in order to get those last few points to qualify for the World Cup final. “I have to be optimistic. It will be a different kind of competition, but it’s going to be okay… all goes well”, he concludes.
