The British dressage rider Carl Hester is one of the world’s most recognized and respected dressage trainers. At the Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing in Herning he gave a talk at a seminar as well as he was the test rider in the BLUE HORS Young Horse Championship

The British dressage rider has had a very positive experience at the stallions licensing in Herning.

– There is an atmosphere here as if it were Christmas! It must be all the shopping that makes people so happy, Hester cheerfully commented about the major event at MCH Herning Exhibition Centre.
He thought it was fantastic, and expressed that in his opinion it was a “superb and professional set-up” he experienced at the Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing.

– I loved it. I write a column for the magazine Horse & Hound, and last week it was about how to make dressage more exciting for the audience – and over here in Denmark you are doing it all already with both dancers , pigs and donkeys, the Brit joked, referring to the Gala show, which he had the pleasure of attending Saturday night.
Carl Hester has been excited about his task as test rider in the BLUE HORS Young Horse Championship in dressage, where he was to test the 32 5-year-old horses that he had never seen before. He said he was impressed by how well-ridden and easy to ride the Danish horses turned out to be, and he did not refrain from praising the riders for the horses’ level of education. For their rideability Carl Hester gave a 10 to two of the horses.

– The quality of the horses here is considerably higher than in England, and I must say that I have ridden some really lovely horses here in Herning. I expected that the audience would be enthusiastic, and so they were, and at the same time very knowledgeable about what they were watching. They knew which horses were the best, Carl Hester stated.
After having concluded his job of testing the second half of the 32 horses his tight schedule Sunday afternoon only just allowed him a quick change of clothes and a short visit to the booth of his sponsor before travelling back to England.

– Unfortunately, I have not had a chance to do what I really wanted – to watch the stallions! Therefore, I would love to return as a spectator next year, Carl Hester said as he left Herning.
