Lucy Davis (USA):
“I felt much better than yesterday, we felt more relaxed and connected. It was a really good course, really technical and there should be some clears with a good jump-off. I was disappointed that we hit a relatively easy rail, but I am happy. Everybody hopes of course to end in the top 3 to 10, but that will not be happening for me this year. Right now I just hope to get experience so that I hopefully can come back to end up in the top 3 or 10 next year.”
Simon Delestre (France) :
“Those 4 faults are really annoying especially since obstacle number 3 presented no particular difficulties. My horse always fights a bit against my hand in the beginning of the course at the first three fences and he only just hit the pole. We will wait to see the final result and I hope that the course will be more selective today. This is a challenging course but there are still too many clear rounds. To make a difference the course should be big. But I know I can now forget the podium and aim for a place in the top 8 to make it a good final for me.”
Hamad Ali Mohamed A Al Attiyah (Qatar):
“It was great and my horse jumped well. She is a gentle mare and really nice to ride in the course. She really listens to what I asked of her and never rode a great marelike her. I don’t feel any pressure anymore. I started riding professionally 1,5 years ago and every rider wants to ride on this level. It is a big pleasure for me to ride here in Lyon and the compete against the best riders in the world. My goal is now to ride at the WEG in Normandy.”
Yuri Mansur Guerios (Brasil) :
“In Brasil we have a story about a little boy who plays with money and loses a dollar. It makes him cry and a man who sees him gives him a dollar. The little boy cries even harder because he says it could have been two dollars. This is really how I felt after my clear round today after my bad round of yesterday. Now I hope to climb the rankings a little.”
