After a long day on a tough course, the podium for the individual Endurance race at the Alltech DEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy has been finalised.

The rider from the United Arab Emirates, SE Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed al Maktoum, won the race with Yamamah, completing the course at an average of 19.678km/h. He bested the only European representative on the podium, the young Dutch rider Marijke Visser, aboard Laiza de Jalima, and Abdulrahman Saad A.S al Sulaiteen, from Qatar, on Koheilan Kincso. In fourth place was Barbara Lissarrague, a French and Swiss citizen who rides for Switzerland who showed tremendous courage in managing rib pain during the bulk of the course, which was caused from a fall.
The team podium will be available in a few minutes: the gold medal should go to either France or Spain.
More information to follow.
