The team from Holland won the Furusiyya FEI Nations CupTM Jumping Final, the most important equestrian team competition in the world whose grand final was held in the Real Club de Polo on the third day of the CSIO Barcelona. The Dutch team, comprising Jeroen Dubbeldam (on Kenith Sfn), Maikel Van der Vleuten (Vdl Groep Verdi Tn N.O.P.), Jur Vrieling (Vdl Bubalu) and Gerco Schröeder (Glock´S London N.O.P.), and led by Rob Ehrens, rode an impeccable final with no knockdowns of three of their four rides, and confirmed their status as the main favourite for the title.
Finishing behind the Dutch was Canada, with just one knockdown, and Sweden, with two. The remaining placings were taken by the national teams of Belgium, Germany, Great Britain, Italy and Brazil.
Following the competition, the fans who packed the stands of the Real Club de Polo were treated to a colourful sound and light show that was capped off by a concert from the American singer Aloe Blacc.
