CHI Geneva (SUI): Fanny Queloz wins the last Wild Card of the season

The “Romandie” riders were competing for the last Wild Card in the CSI** in Chevenez, in the Canton of Jura, on Sunday, 19th October.

Victim of a thumb fracture in the beginning of the summer, Fanny Queloz was forced to skip almost all the Grand Prix’s counted for the Wild Card ranking. 7th in the Swiss Elite Championship and second best Romandie rider, the Neuchâtel based rider almost won the invitation for the CHI Geneva, but Beat Grandjean ranked higher, taking the 3rd place.

In Chevenez, the elegant 24 year old rider was this time the best Romandie rider in the Grand Prix thanks to her 6th place in the ranking with Celtic. In spite of her young age, Fanny Queloz has the chance to compete for the fourth time in Palexpo, from the 11th to 14th of December. “I could not feel better. To win a Wild Card and have the chance to ride in the CHI Geneva is always a wonderful present. It’s an incredible feeling” welcomed Fanny Queloz.

The gold medal of this Grand Prix was awarded to Romain Duguet and Quorida de Treho. Another important pilar of the Swiss team, Paul Esterman took second place with Conert’s Hope and Claudia Gisler, took third place with Cordel.
