Toni Haßmann is this year’s winner of the Grand Prix in Wiesbaden. The 38-year-old triple Derby winner and his 9-year-old Cornet Obolensky son Classic Man stayed clear in the second round crossing the finish line within 43,63 seconds . Runner-up was Gerrit Schepers with Czerny in 44,52 seconds whereas the third place went to Angelina Herröder and Cornwall.

Toni Haßmann participated many times at the ‘Pfingstturnier’ in Wiesbaden before, but never managed to win the Grand Prix. Classic Man is in his stable only since the beginning of April. The breeder, the Vogt family, put Westphalian Classic Man at Toni’s disposal in order to introduce him to international competitions.

Since 2001 Wiesbaden is a leg of the jumping series DKB Riders Tour. This year, Wiesbaden is host of the third of a total of six legs. Due to his victory in the Wiesbaden Schlosspark Toni Hassmann moved up to the fourth place of the ranking. Holger Wulschner is the current leader of the Riders Tour ranking after his victory in Hagen and his sixth place in Wiesbaden.
