Vincenzo Truppa has many titles: international dressage judge, chairman of the A.I.D.E.O the organisers’ alliance as well as dressage trainer and father of Valentina Truppa, successful Italian dressage rider

“Here in Herning I am a proud father and trainer in that order”, says Mr Vincenzo Truppa and smiles.

“I am an organiser myself with many large competitions and championships behind me and I really appreciate the environment here in Herning, really good job with the whole setting, from warm-ups to arena. It is all laid out for a good event, I can tell.”

“From my trainers point of view I am pleased, Valentina and Eremo have developed a lot over the last months. They are both more than ready,did you see pirouettes any more narrow than that straight on the centreline?,” says the proud father and trainer.

And yes, Valentina and Eremo impressed in the first practise on the competition course.

“You always aim for medals, but it has to do with so many things as the daily form of horse and rider, surrounding conditions like flowers and cameras, remember the world cup final in Gothenburg, so at the end of the day it is all very open. We try our best; we have worked with the freestyle program, some new patterns to the Italian themed music and we give it our best”.

Italy has a very young team of dressage riders and Valentina Truppa is the trainer for two of the young riders.
